The barbershop has a warm friendly feeling and oozes old-world charm with timber, exposed brick, vintage tiles and enmalled lights setting the scene from a bygone era. A 100-year-old cash register and a red and white barber’s pole add retro chic. In addition, a big screen TV broadcasts live sport from around the globe, and a Bose sound system plays background music that does not inhibit conversation.

Five traditional chairs which have been sourced from the US and restored to their former glory, take centre stage at the barbershop. The oldest chair dates back to 1907 and with barbers traditionally known to love a chat and be great listeners, thousands of stories are ingrained in the souls of those chairs.

Also, in keeping with the old-world atmosphere, the team of highly skilled barbers dress accordingly with collared shirts and ties being mandatory.

Barber Bros & Co is also using traditional, age-old barber products as well. The range includes Lucky Tiger and Baxter of California from the US, Proraso, from Italy, Taylor of Old Bond Street from the UK and Muhle for cutthroat shaves, from Germany.
It all comes together to create a masculine atmosphere, where a man can feel like a man, be comfortable and share camaraderie with both staff and fellow customers.
